Natural Ways to Remove Dandruff

These days, a lot of people suffer from dandruff issues. Though it is not a very dangerous thing to happen but one feels really embarrassed when white flakes land upon their dresses and shoulders. Now, what exactly a dandruff problem is? It is a kind of a scalp condition which is mainly caused by a fungus called Malassezia. This is a kind of a consumer sebum which is again a type of an oily matter that is secreted from the sebaceous gland of the scalp.

Dandruff is also known as seborrhoea which happens at the human scalp (at any age) and not only that, it can affect the other parts of the skin as well causing some skin breaks, acne and pimple. Dry scalp and skin, bad shampooing and brushing of hair and stress along with bad eating habits can lead to dandruff formation too.

One can easily go for Ayurvedic treatment for dandruff and hair loss because for many this has been a very effective form of treatment. Here are a few things that one can easily try out at home for healthy and dandruff free hair.

Camphor with coconut oil

This is a great remedy to maintain healthy scalps. One just needs to mix a small amount of camphor in 3 to 4 table spoons of coconut oil (according to the hair length) and apply it well on the scalp and hair before going to bed at night. The camphor cools down the scalp and thus it helps in reducing the dandruff issues. If one has an oily scalp and skin, then they can apply the mixture for an hour or two and then shampoo it off.

Coconut with lemon

One can take a medium sized lemon and squeeze out the fresh juice from it and then mix it with coconut oil. Apply the mixture in the scalp and then leave it for an hour. The acidity of the lemon cleans the scalp and removes the white flakes. After an hour one can wash it off with a mild shampoo.

Almond oil and Olive oil

One needs to mix the 2 varieties of oil at first. Then make a sugar solution to apply it on the hair before going for the oil massage. Keep the oil on the scalp for an hour and then use a mild shampoo to wash it off. After shampooing, it is a good idea to use tea water to rinse. This will not only remove dandruff but also will nourish the hair better.

Sandalwood Oil

One can also use the lime juice and sandalwood oil mixture as a remedy for dandruff. One can massage the scalp with this mixture and after 30 minutes they can wash it off with a shampoo. Oil massage can increase the blood circulation and strengthen the hair roots. Not only that, they remove white flakes.

Amla Paste

This is also an anti dandruff hair oack made from amla powder, water and tulsi leaves which has anti fungal properties to remove dandruffs.

One can also use oil for dandruff and hair fall because it can provide nourishment and strengthen the hair roots properly.
