In the Jahangirpuri violence scenario, the Rohini courtroom has held that prima facie it was a conspiracy. There is more than enough evidence from the accused to prosecute the accused below sections which include conspiracy, attempt to murder. The court on Thursday took cognizance of the police chargesheet and directed all the accused to show up on August 6. The scenario pertains to the violence that took place during a procession to mark the birth anniversary of Hanuman on April 16 this calendar year.
The police have reported in the chargesheet that the violence was carried out on the basis of anti-CAA protests. Main Metropolitan Magistrate Deepika Singh, immediately after finding out the statements and documents of all the witnesses, took cognizance of the demand sheet and issued manufacturing warrants for the accused. In the chargesheet, Mohammad Ansar and Tabrez Ansari have been produced the major conspirators, though the third conspirator Ishrafil is absconding.
The Crime Department of Delhi Police had filed a chargesheet on April 16 in link with the Jahangirpuri violence on July 14. In the cost sheet, Delhi Police has named 37 arrested and 8 absconding accused in the case. Apart from these, two minors are also named in the chargesheet.

Delhi Police will file a separate charge sheet in opposition to the juvenile offenders ahead of the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB).
