Mehandi for Dry Hair & How it Prevents Dandruff

Mustard oil hair masks-

What you’ll require:

250 millilitres mustard oil

2 handfuls henna leaves (fresh)

Fenugreek seeds, 1 teaspoon

Jar/container that is completely dry

Procedure-

In a wok, heat the oil until it reaches smoking temperature. Turn off the gas. When the oil has cooled slightly, add the henna leaves and fenugreek seeds. Allow the henna for hair and seed to soak up in the liquid and change color. 

In the wok, leave it overnight. The next day, strain it into an airtight container or jar. This is great for oil massages. Let it sit for an hour before shampooing.

Fenugreek hair masks-

What you’ll require:

4 tablespoons henna powder (fine)

Juice of one lime 

1 tbsp olive oil, fenugreek seed powder, and white vinegar

Few teaspoons of yogurt

Method:

Combine all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl and let the mixture sit for 12 hours. Soak it in water overnight. Apply to the scalp and hair thoroughly. Wait for a minimum of 2 hours and then wash off with any moderate shampoo. 

Lemon hair masks- 

What you’ll require:

4 tablespoons henna powder (fine)

Lime Juice with Yoghourt (as per convenience)

Method:

Combine the henna powder, lime juice, and curd in a mixing bowl. To avoid lumps, thoroughly combine all ingredients. Make a smooth, non-dripping paste. Apply the paste right from the roots to the tips of your hair. Leave it on for 30 minutes before washing with a shampoo that is free of SLS.
