Yuji Naka, the co-creator of Sonic the Hedgehog and previous head of developer Sonic Staff, has been arrested for insider investing in Tokyo. The information, 1st noted by Japanese news website FNN, has been corroborated by the Asahi Shimbun newspaper in an English-language report.
Naka is alleged to have purchased stock in developer Aiming in early 2020, primarily based on inside facts that it would be creating a Dragon Quest cell video game, Dragon Quest Tact. Naka co-made Sega mascot Sonic the Hedgehog with artist Naoto Ohshima.
