Sri Lanka and Netherlands from Group A, while Zimbabwe and Ireland from Group B have made it to the last 12 teams. Four teams were to be decided from the qualifying round. Now tomorrow i.e. from Saturday the real battle will start. The teams of Super-12 will face each other according to the group.

According to the rules, the team that tops Group A will get a place in the group of death in Super-12 i.e. Champion Australia, while the team finishing second will get an entry in the group of India. In such a situation, Sri Lankan team has reached Group-1 of Super-12 round and team of Netherlands has reached Group-2 of Super-12 round. At the same time, the team topping Group-B would get a place in India’s group in Super-12, while the second-placed team had to go to the Group of Death i.e. Champion Australia. In such a situation, Zimbabwe qualified for Group-1 for the Super-12 round and Ireland for Group-2 by finishing first in Group-B. 12 teams have been received for the Super-12 round. England, New Zealand, defending champions Australia, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Ireland are in Group 1 of the Super-12 round. At the same time, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, Netherlands and Zimbabwe will be in Group 2. Tomorrow the first match of the Super-12 round will be played. In the first match, defending champions Australia will face last time runner up New Zealand team. At the same time, Team India will start its campaign against Pakistan on 23 October.
What happened to Group A?
Apart from Namibia and UAE, Sri Lanka and the Netherlands were also in Group A. Namibia defeated Asian champions Sri Lanka in the first match of the T20 World Cup. At the same time, the Netherlands defeated the UAE. The Netherlands then returned after defeating Namibia, while Sri Lanka defeated the UAE to claim the Super-12. The Sri Lankan team reached the top of Group A after defeating the Netherlands on Thursday. At the same time, the team of Netherlands slipped to second place. In such a situation, after three matches, both Sri Lanka and Netherlands had four points each. However, Sri Lanka’s net run rate was positive and Netherlands negative. Namibia’s team entered the match against UAE with points after two matches, but the team’s net run rate was positive. In such a situation, Namibia just needed a win and it would have reached the top, leaving behind both the Netherlands and Sri Lanka, while the Netherlands would have been out, but it did not happen. Now Sri Lanka and Netherlands qualified for the Super-12 round with four points each.
How was Group B’s condition?
In Group B of the qualifying round on Friday, West Indies face Ireland, while Scotland’s team will face Zimbabwe. Earlier, the four teams had two points each. In such a situation, only the winning team would have qualified for the Super-12. In the first match, Ireland faced two-time world champion West Indies. Ireland beat West Indies by nine wickets and eliminated the former world champions from the tournament. This was followed by a match between Zimbabwe and Scotland. Scotland set a target of 133 runs in front of Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe’s team had to chase the target within 19 overs to come first in their group. By doing so, the team would have topped Group B and Ireland would have slipped to second place. At the same time, even after winning after 19 overs, Zimbabwe’s team would have qualified, but remained in second place. If Scotland’s team had defeated Zimbabwe, then Scotland’s team would have reached the Super-12 round, but this did not happen. Zimbabwe team chased down the target in 18.3 overs and finished first in Group B.
