Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all remain active as we enter the final 10 days of the summer transfer window. The Gunners have made Wolves winger Pedro Neto their top priority but will have to fork out £50million. Arsenal are also preparing a second bid for Youri Tielemans as they target the ‘Ukrainian Neymar’ Mykhaylo Mudryk before the September 1 deadline.

Chelsea are still hoping to get a number of deals over the line, including for Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Tielemans’ Leicester team-mate Wesley Fofana. The Blues are also believed to have launched enquiries for Ivan Toney and Harry Maguire.

Blues target Anthony Gordon is eyeing a switch to work under Antonio Conte at Tottenham, who could still sign Ruslan Malinovskyi and Nicolo Zaniolo. Manchester United are targeting Antony and Cody Gakpo and could make one last push for Frenkie de Jong, while West Ham have reached a deal for Emerson Palmieri as they push to sign Hans Vanaken and Ainsley-Maitland Niles. Chelsea turn to… Morata?!

Chelsea’s frustrations in their attempted deal with Barcelona for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have led them to consider alternatives, including former striker Morata, according to Sport.

Atletico Madrid reinserted the Spaniard into their squad this summer after the end of his loan spell at Juventus, and he has performed admirably with two goals on his debut versus Getafe.

A fee of only £21million was reportedly enough to land Morata earlier in the window but that now could be tripled owning to his fine form.

He said recently: “In the end it’s our job and [the speculation is] what comes out in the press. I just want to work, Atletico are one of the best clubs in the world. If there’s a transfer market I can’t do anything about it, just work, I’m happy here.”

Wolves want Chelsea target Kalajdzic

Wolves are in talks to sign Chelsea target Sasa Kalajdzic from Stuttgart.

The Athletic detail the German club’s £21m demands for the Austrian striker, although the clubs are some way apart in their valuations as things stand.


Kurzawa leads Fulham dash

Fulham want to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa as they target several new recruits before the summer transfer deadline, writes Standard Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella.

Brighton striker Neal Maupay is another target amid rival interest from the likes of Nottingham Forest and Everton.

They also remain keen on Hwang Ui-jo at Bordeaux, but Forest, Wolves and Greek giants Olympiacos are also pushing for the South Korean forward.

Barcelona ask Bellerin to wait

Barcelona have told Hector Bellerin to wait until the end of the transfer window to complete a move to the club.

Arsenal are happy to let the Spanish full-back leave for free to dispose of his £100,000 weekly wages, once a new team is found.

Sport report on failed deals for Juan Foyth and Thomas Meunier leading Barcelona to former academy product Bellerin.

At the same time, the Catalans are considering selling Manchester United and Chelsea target Sergino Dest.

Chalobah interest from Italy

Inter Milan are still trying to persuade Chelsea to let Trevoh Chalobah sign for the Serie A club.

While working on a deal for Italy international Francesco Acerbi, Inter are also keen on Chalobah, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Blues are reported to have outpriced the Nerazzurri’s bid at this stage.

Casemiro outlines Man United move reasons

Casemiro has hit back at allegations that he is only moving to Manchester United for a payday as he bid a tearful farewell to Real Madrid.

On Monday, the Brazilian midfielder held a press conference to announce his exit from the Bernabeu in a £70million transfer to Old Trafford.

Reports suggest Casemiro will almost double his wages as part of the deal, from £180,000-a-week to £350,000-a-week – something he insists was not part of his thinking in accepting the switch.

“I think there are a few who don’t know me,” he stated. “It’s not about money. They’re wrong. That’s not the case.”

Sky Sports claim the clubs are now in advanced talks over a deal, which may or may not involve Marcos Alonso.

Tottenham are reluctant to allow Bryan Gil to return to Valencia on loan before they have lined up a replacementwrites Standard Sport’s Dan Kilpatrick,

The Spanish club are pushing to re-sign Gil for the remainder of the season after the winger impressed on loan in the second half of last term.

But Antonio Conte would want a replacement for the 21-year-old and Spurs are conscious that it will not be straightforward to sign a forward of the required quality who is willing to be a bit-part player.

Il Mattino report on negotiations over the Paris Saint-Germain shot-stopper’s switch to Italy advancing this week.
