US Southern Republican governors ship migrants to ‘sanctuary’ cities

Republican governors are escalating their partisan tactic of sending migrants to Democratic strongholds without advance warning, which include a rich summer season enclave in Massachusetts and the house of Vice President Kamala Harris, to taunt leaders of immigrant-pleasant “sanctuary” cities and stoke opposition to Biden administration border procedures.

The governors of Texas and Arizona have sent hundreds of migrants on buses to New York, Chicago, and Washington, DC in recent months. But the hottest shock moves – which integrated two flights to Martha’s Winery Wednesday paid for by Florida – arrived at a new level of political theater that critics derided as inhumane.

On arrival in Martha’s Winery, in which former President Barack Obama has a residence, the migrants who are predominantly from Venezuela have been provided with foods, shelter, health care, and information and facts about where to discover work.
