Top 10 richest people in the world

The tenrichest richest people in the world have a combined net worth of $829.7 billion. That’s more money than the gross domestic product (GDP) of countries like Sweden, Poland, and Hungary. The list is topped by Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos, who has a personal fortune of $113 billion.

The list below is based on an evaluation of the wealth of the world’s billionaires as of March 2018.

These are the top 10 richest people in the world:

1. Jeff Bezos – $113 billion

2. Bill Gates – $90 billion

3. Warren Buffett – $84 billion

4. Bernard Arnault – $72 billion

5. Amancio Ortega – $71 billion

6. Mark Zuckerberg – $56 billion

7. Carlos Slim Helu – $54 billion

8. Larry Ellison – $52 billion

9. Charles Koch – $48 billion

10. David Koch – $48 billion

If you take a look at the list above, you’ll notice that six out of the ten richest people in the world are Americans. In fact, the United States has more billionaires than any other country in the world. As of March 2018, there were 585 billionaires in the US, while China was a distant second with 373 billionaires.

1. Jeff Bezos, the richest man in the world, is the founder and CEO of Amazon.com, the world’s largest online retailer. Amazon.com was founded in 1994 and has since grown into a behemoth, with annual revenues of $177 billion. Amazon.com was originally a bookseller, but it has since expanded into a variety of other product categories, including electronics, apparel, furniture, food, and more.

2. Bill Gates is the co-founder of Microsoft, the world’s largest software company. Microsoft was founded in 1975 and revolutionized the personal computer industry with its Windows operating system. Microsoft also produces a variety of other software products, including the Office suite of productivity applications. Gates currently serves as the technology advisor for Microsoft.

Telmex has a monopoly on fixed-line telephone service in Mexico and also provides internet and television services. Slim also owns a stake in America Movil, Latin America’s largest mobile phone operator.

8. Larry Ellison is the co-founder and CEO of Oracle, the world’s largest enterprise software company. Oracle was founded in 1977 and sells a variety of software products, including database, middleware, and application software. Ellison is also a philanthropist and has donated millions of dollars to medical research.

9. Charles Koch is the chairman and CEO of Koch Industries, the second-largest private company in the United States. Koch Industries is a conglomerate that owns a variety of businesses, including energy, chemical, and manufacturing. Koch also serves as the chairman of the board of directors for the Koch Foundation, a philanthropic organization.

10. David Koch is the executive vice president of Koch Industries and serves on the board of directors for the Koch Foundation. Koch also sits on the board of directors for a variety of other businesses and organizations, including the American Museum of Natural History.
