Beth Davis, who is from Boston, USA, was first diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2004 but defeated it with chemotherapy and was doing well, however in June of last year, the cancer came back and it was found out that she had developed metastatic breast cancer, which had spread to her bones.

Beth, who is currently 61, knows that she does not have much time left with Rick and Molly, her daughter, which is why she wanted to play the role of Cupid.

Because of the ongoing pandemic, the mother knew that the social lives of almost every single person had been affected, which is why she created a dating profile for her 30-year-old mother.

Molly, the daughter, allowed the mother and used Wingman, an app that allows people to let friends and family members to step in as matchmakers.

Tina Wilson, the founder of Wingman, found out about the story of Beth and Molly, which is why she decided to help out too.

The founder set up a giant billboard in Times Square New York, USA, to help out the mother in fulfilling her dream.

During an interview with CNN, Beth said that she just wanted to see her daughter happy, however, she also admitted that her daughter is going to decide if she has met the one for her.

She added in the interview:

“Molly has always unselfishly spent a lot of time with us, including taking a leave of absence to fly to New Zealand last year [where I was] when I was diagnosed and also Molly, like lots of young people, have had their social lives interrupted by these Covid years, so I really just wanted to help find her a special someone.”

She continued:

“She truly sees the good in people and really tries to make everyone’s life she touches better. She is smart and so very funny, loves a good belly laugh and doesn’t take herself too seriously. She works hard but always tries to balance that with having fun, and I really admire that.”

Molly said that she doesn’t mind her mother’s efforts.

Molly explained:

“My mom and dad lean on each other. That’s what I’m looking for.”

Beth, the mother, said that she wants to find a partner for Molly that adores her and puts her first.

She explained:

“I would love to know that Molly has a good life partner that adores her and puts her first, as I know she will him. I want to see her surrounded by his lovely family that will have embraced her. And I bet she will slot right into his large circle of friends, and they will plan their own cool adventures.”
